Ad Intelligence

See the gap between your ad budget and the AI answer

Ads landing on your and your competitors' domains are read from Google's Ads Transparency Center, and themes are priced with Google Ads estimates. Where advertisers pay, whether AI names you sits right beside it.

Ads and AI, side by side

Example

Ads, not in the answer

You create the demand; the answer recommends another brand.

Both

Your ads and your place in AI meet on the same theme.

No ads, in the answer

You are named without advertising; know which source carries you.

Could not read

The ad record could not be read. That does not mean 'runs no ads'.

Answers are collected on 5 engines, each one reported on its own:

01

Your and your competitors' ad footprint on Google

Ads landing on your domain and the competitor domains you set are read from Google's Ads Transparency Center: the ads found, their formats and when they ran. Before reading, a control domain known to advertise heavily is tried; if the control is not found, no domain is written as 'runs no ads'.

  • Only ads matching the domain are counted; a similar name is not proof of ownership.
  • 'Not found' is a narrow result: it does not rule out ads to another domain or a marketplace.

02

What advertisers pay for each theme

Searches derived from the question set's keywords are grouped into themes; each theme shows monthly search volume and Google Ads' click price estimate. Beside it, how many answers on the same theme named you.

  • Click prices are Google Ads estimates, not traffic, conversion or spend forecasts.
  • Keywords without a known price are listed apart.

Costly blind spot

Example

Payment in instalments

  • Advertisers pay per click for searches on this themeGoogle Ads estimate
  • Did AI name you in answers on this thememeasured, not named

Two measurements side by side; not a traffic or spend forecast.

03

The theme advertisers pay for, where AI did not name you

The report singles out the theme where advertisers pay the highest click price and AI named you in none of the answers. The line puts two measurements side by side and forecasts nothing.

  • Themes carrying your or competitors' names stay out of this comparison.
  • Without enough answers the line is not shown.

Steps for the ad budget

Example
  1. FillAI does not name you on a theme advertisers pay for: publish content that answers those questions.
  2. TestAds and AI both show you on the same theme: test your bids with a controlled experiment.
  3. Absent from bothOn priced themes you appear neither in ads nor in answers.

Each step names the measurements it rests on; none forecasts traffic or revenue.

04

What the measurement says about the ad budget

At most three steps come from the report's own measurements: fill a costly theme where AI does not name you with content, test with a controlled experiment where ads and AI visibility overlap, or see the searches where you are absent from both channels. Each step names the figures it rests on and what would change the call.

  • A rule whose inputs are missing or thin stays silent; no advice is made up.
  • Appearing in AI is not treated as proof that ads are unnecessary; only a test can show that.

05

Data that could not be read is not 'no ads'

If a source does not respond, that domain is marked 'could not read'. The Meta Ad Library is not read yet; the report states it as not measured.

  • A broken provider call is never reported as 'runs no ads'.
  • If no competitor domain was set, the report says the competitors' ad footprint was not measured.

How it works

From ad footprint to budget step

  1. Set the domains

Your and your competitors' domains are entered in the brand settings; only those are read.

  2. We read and price

The ad footprint comes from Google's Ads Transparency Center, theme prices from Google Ads estimates.

  3. We put them side by side

For each theme, ad price and your place in AI are read together; at most three steps are suggested.

Method promise

We put two measurements side by side; we do not estimate budgets

Ad Intelligence combines two observable things: which domain ads land on in Google, and who AI answers name. It does not estimate competitors' spend; a modelled budget figure would be a made-up metric.

Read the method

What we measure

  • Google ads landing on your and your competitors' domains
  • The ads' formats and when they ran
  • Theme search volume and click price, from Google Ads estimates
  • Whether AI names you on the same themes

What we do not measure

  • How much competitors spend
  • Meta ads: not read yet
  • Traffic, conversion or revenue forecasts

Frequently asked questions

Where does competitor ad data come from?

Google's Ads Transparency Center is a public record, and the data we read is open to anyone. The Meta Ad Library is public too, but we do not read it yet.

Can I see how much competitors spend?

No, and we do not produce an estimate. The transparency record does not give amounts in most cases. We report the ads found, their formats and when they ran.

What does 'no ads found' mean for a competitor?

That no Google ad landing on that domain was found. The competitor may advertise to another domain, an app store or a marketplace listing; the report states this limit.

Which currency are click prices in?

Google Ads estimates are shown in US dollars. They are the approximate price paid per click, not a traffic or spend forecast.
